Mesh support - compatibility with Maya, Blender and Sketchup

Lindens have recently announced that SL will very soon allow the importing of objects built using Maya, Blender and Sketchup.
Using a common file format, professional 3D modelling software can be used to build objects for use in SL. These objects will not be like current sculpted prims but will use the COLLADA format and should load very quickly. This could mean big improvements for the way SL looks and behaves. It also means that the many objects builders have stock piled over the years, can be made availabel for SL users.
