Students working on our MSc Digital Solutions E-Learning Technology course use Second Life for one or more of their E-Learning modules and some have used it for their final course project as well.
Nursery Simulation
Crystal Cooper ( clcooper1@gmail.com )

Lawal created this exhibition space in coordination with LondonMet's IICTD (International Institute for Culture, Tourism and Development) IICTD students organise exhibitions in this space holding opening parties and receptions. Londinium - a Roman London in SL
Crystal Cooper ( clcooper1@gmail.com )
Crystal chose to use SL for her final project working with the Museum Of London building a very large replica of Roman London. The build incorporates bots which react with visitors, machinima, and a time line showing how the architecture and buildings changed over time.

Animation Studio
Nathelie Meng ( nathelie.meng@hotmail.com )
Nathlie created this studio to assist the teaching of stop frame animation techniques. She has included an animated simulation - a visiting avatar is animated showing the viewer the sequence of drawing and photographing a single frame.

Sandbox
Jim Pettiward ( jiminlondon1@gmail.com )
A sandbox is a space in SL where anyone can build. They automatically clear away any abandoned objects after a set period of time. Jim made a sandbox in the centre of our land in SL and surrounded it with learning objects and links to useful information. It is used by many residents within SL who have no land to practice their building skills on.

Manufacturing Space and Animation Meeting Place
Nathelie Meng ( nathelie.meng@hotmail.com )
Most of the objects were created in Maya and then converted and imported into SL using a method researched and improved by Nathelie.

For the Meeting Place she used imagery supplied by her client who offers online training in Maya. The space Nathelie created is for the client's customers to meet and share experiences and tips using Maya.
